Made to order

Every Studio Jes Iken piece is carefully made to order in our workshop in the Netherlands. This means we only begin production once your order has been placed, allowing us to reduce waste and create each piece especially for its future home.

Production lead time

Our current production lead time is approximately 6 weeks. Once your order is ready, you'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking details where available.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on the size of your order and delivery location.

If you're located outside the European Union, we'd be happy to explore the shipping possibilities with you. Please get in touch for a personalised shipping quote.

Some larger furniture pieces (over 175 cm in length) require a tailored shipping solution and therefore can't currently be ordered directly through the webshop. If you're interested in one of these pieces, I'd be happy to explore the available shipping options and provide a personalised quote.

Delivery

We work with trusted parcel and furniture transport partners to ensure your order arrives safely. As soon as your furniture has been dispatched, you'll receive an email with further delivery information where available.

Upon delivery

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your furniture arrives damaged during transport, contact us within 48 hours and include photographs of both the product and the packaging so we can help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Because almost every Studio Jes Iken piece is made specifically for you after your order has been placed, most products cannot be returned.

Made-to-order furniture

All made-to-order furniture is produced especially for each customer.

For this reason, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds unless a product arrives damaged or there is a manufacturing fault.

Pebble Pinboards

The Pebble Pinboards are the only exception to this policy.

They may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused, in their original condition and returned in the original packaging.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product arrived damaged or incorrect.

Sample booklets

Sample booklets are not eligible for return.

Their purpose is to help you choose a finish before placing a furniture order, and the purchase price primarily covers shipping.

Damaged or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of both the packaging and the product.

We will always work with you to find an appropriate solution.

Cancellation

Because production starts shortly after an order is placed, cancellations may not always be possible once work has begun.

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.

Product information

We make every effort to present our products, colours and dimensions as accurately as possible.

Please note that colours may appear differently depending on your screen and lighting conditions. If you're unsure about a finish, we recommend ordering our sample booklet before placing your furniture order.

Because every piece is handmade, small variations in colour, wood grain and finish are part of the character of the product and should not be considered defects.

Prices

All prices are shown in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable.

Shipping costs are calculated separately during checkout.

We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors if they occur.

Payment

Orders must be paid before production begins.

Payments are processed securely through trusted payment providers.

If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please contact us before placing your order.

Delivery

Estimated production times are provided as guidance.

Although we always aim to meet the indicated lead time, delays may occasionally occur due to material availability, transport or other circumstances beyond our control.

If this happens, we'll keep you informed.

Returns

Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for detailed information about returns, cancellations and refunds.

Warranty

We take great care in designing and making every piece.

If you believe your furniture has a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible so we can find a suitable solution together.

This warranty does not cover normal wear, accidental damage or damage resulting from improper use.

All content on this website, including photographs, product designs, text and graphics, remains the intellectual property of Studio Jes Iken unless otherwise stated.
