The Isle Desk was designed around a simple idea: children's spaces should be just as flexible as the way they play.

Its two rotating tabletops can be turned into different configurations, allowing the desk to adapt throughout the day. One moment it's a cosy place to draw or do homework, the next it becomes a stage for imaginative worlds, a building table for blocks, or a shared workspace for siblings and friends.

Rather than defining how it should be used, the Isle Desk invites children to keep discovering new possibilities. That small element of movement encourages creativity and makes the furniture feel different every time it's rearranged.

With its sculptural form and rounded edges, the desk feels playful without overwhelming a room. It's designed to blend beautifully into family life while becoming a piece children genuinely enjoy interacting with.

Each Isle Desk is handmade to order in the Netherlands, using carefully selected materials that are made to last for many years of everyday use.

Looking for something more personal? Every piece can also be finished in a custom colour. Simply select 'Custom colour' as your colour choice, add the Custom Colour option to your cart, and enter the paint brand and colour code in the order notes at checkout.

If your order includes multiple furniture pieces in the same custom colour, the surcharge only needs to be added once to the largest item.

The Isle Desk is available in two sizes. Because the two tabletops rotate independently, the footprint changes depending on how they're positioned. The illustration above shows the desk in both its Compact and Expanded configurations.

How do the rotating tabletops work?
Each tabletop rotates independently around its own central pivot. To reposition the desk, simply loosen the wooden locking knob on top of the pivot, rotate the tabletop into its new position, and tighten the knob again to secure it in place.

This allows you to switch effortlessly between a compact setup and a more expanded layout for drawing, building, playing or sharing the desk with siblings and friends.

Which size should I choose?
The Medium Isle Desk comfortably accommodates 2–3 children and is ideal for smaller rooms or families looking for a compact yet versatile workspace.

The Large Isle Desk comfortably seats 3–5 children, making it perfect for siblings, playdates or creative projects that need a little more room to spread out.

Can the desk grow with my child?
Yes. The Isle Desk is available in two height options to suit different stages of childhood. Choosing the right height helps create a comfortable workspace for many years of everyday use.

The legs can also be exchanged for taller legs at later stage.

What materials can I choose from?
The Isle Desk is crafted from FSC-certified plywood. You can choose between a durable satin lacquer finish or a pigmented linseed oil finish on pine plywood, which allows the natural wood grain to remain visible.

How do I care for the desk?
For everyday cleaning, simply wipe the surface with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent if needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals to keep the finish looking its best.

Can I order colour samples?
Yes. You can order a lacquer sample book to see all available lacquer colours before making your choice.

What is the lead time?
Every Isle Desk is handmade to order in the Netherlands. The current lead time is approximately 6 weeks.

Can I return my order?
Because every item is made to order, returns are generally not accepted. If your order arrives damaged or there is a manufacturing issue, please get in touch and we'll always work together to find a suitable solution.
